Celebrating International Literacy Day with Sai Kripa
Literacy is a powerful tool that empowers individuals and enhances living standards. This International Literacy Day, Prometheus School had the privilege of sharing the learning space with the students of Sai Kripa, embodying this profound truth.
Form 3 students took the initiative to raise awareness about the changing landforms of the earth due to human activities. They illustrated their favorite landforms and envisioned how they might look a million years from now, sparking curiosity and creativity among their peers.
Form 4 students shared their knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing particularly on Life on Land and Life Below Water. Their presentations aimed to promote sustainable living practices, highlighting the importance of protecting our planet for future generations.
The day also featured a craft activity where students engaged in creating various styles of floral design artwork. This activity not only allowed them to express their creativity but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration.
The fun-filled and educational day concluded with students coming together for a vibrant dance performance. This celebration highlighted the joy of learning and the transformative power of literacy.
Through these activities, Prometheus School and Sai Kripa students demonstrated that literacy is not just about reading and writing but also about understanding our world and making it a better place. This International Literacy Day was a reminder of how education can be a journey from misery to hope, one lesson at a time.
